Mobile Deposit FAQs

What is mobile deposit?
Mobile deposit is a remote check deposit service offered via our mobile app and allows eligible members to deposit checks online (up to a qualified amount).

How is mobile deposit accessed?
Mobile deposit is accessed through the mobile app as a selection on the bottom navigation menu.

Can mobile deposit be used immediately upon registering?
Yes. If qualified for the service, members can begin using the service as soon as you receive confirmation of your enrollment and service disclosure items have been accepted.

How much does it cost to use mobile deposit?
Mobile deposit is a free service offered to qualified members.

When is a deposit available for use?
Deposited funds are typically available for use the next business day, unless specified otherwise.

Is there a check amount limit?
Yes, $2,500.00 is the daily limit. This is subject to change.

What is the proper way to endorse a check for mobile deposit?

  • Use blue or black ink

  • Signed by the payee

  • For Mobile Deposit Only at CAMC Federal Credit Union

Can mobile deposit be used to deposit cash?
No. Mobile deposit is for check deposits only. Unacceptable mobile deposits will immediately be rejected and may result in suspension of the service.

Can mobile deposits be used to make payments to loans?
Checks should be deposited into a qualified share account first. Funds can then be transferred to the appropriate loan account via the 'Transfer' menu option within the mobile app.

Items that can be deposited.
Checks made payable to the account owner or joint owners that have been properly endorsed with For Mobile Deposit Only at CAMC FCU and signed by the payee(s).

Note: Cutoff time for submitting deposits is 2:30 p.m. EDT/EST (M-F). Deposits received on Saturday or Sunday, or any Federal Holiday will be processed on the next business day.

Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your communications service provider for access rates, texting charges, and other applicable fees.


Direct Deposit

Did you know that you could have your paycheck automatically deposited into whichever Credit Union account you designate: checking, savings, or a portion to both? That way, you have immediate access to your money by using your CAMC FCU debit card at any ATM location or merchant that accepts Visa Debit Cards. For your convenience, we have placed ATMs at each hospital division and outside of the Credit Union office for 24-hour access to your accounts.

Direct deposit may also be available with the Credit Union for those outside the CAMC system. For more information on establishing direct deposit at your business or to sign-up for CAMC's direct deposit program, contact (304) 388-5700. Just another service your Credit Union is happy to offer.


Safe Deposit Boxes

There is no better place in which to store your important documents than in a CAMC Federal Credit Union safe deposit box. All of your important papers are in one place, so they're easy to access. You have access to your box Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The sizes and non-refundable fees are as follows:

  • 3x5 $20 per year

  • 3x10 $30 per year

  • 5x10 $50 per year


Coin Counter

Coin counting services are available at no charge during regular lobby hours. Coin must be unrolled and free of debris. We cannot accept rolled coin through the drive-thru.


Notary Services

Notary services are available at the Credit Union at no charge to members during regular lobby hours - Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Wire Transfers

CAMC Federal Credit Union offers both incoming and outgoing wire services. For more information and to get correct and complete wire instructions, please call (304) 388-5700.


Stop Payments

Members requesting a stop payment on a share draft need to call the Credit Union. Please have ready your member number, check number, dollar amount of the check, and to whom the check was written. Verify with the merchant that your check will be processed as a paper item. In certain situations, when giving the merchant a pre-authorized check, they will process the item as an ACH (automated clearing house). It is the members' responsibility to ensure how the transaction is being processed. Share draft stop payments can be placed over the telephone; however, you must come to the credit union within 14 days to sign the request. Check-stop payments are valid for only six months. The fee to place a stop payment on a personal or official check is $27.00.

Members requesting a stop payment on an ACH (automated clearing house) item must contact the Credit Union to initiate the stop pay. Please have ready your member number, company ID number of the merchant sending the ACH, the exact dollar amount of the ACH and the merchant name. The ACH stop payment cannot be placed and will not be effective unless this information is accurate. Stop payments are valid for six months, and stop payments are to be signed by members.

Many merchants are going from paper processing of your checks to ACH processing.

Notice: As of September 29, 2024 the quantities in check orders will change as follows:

  • All personal, Proprietor and Business Wallet/Fortune check orders will include a standard quantity of 60 checks

  • Check package quantities of 100 – 120 will move to a quantity of 80

  • Personal deposit ticket packages quantity will be 80

Official Checks

When you need guaranteed funds and a personal check won't do, consider a Credit Union official check. Official check fee is $2.00.


Counter Checks

If you run out of checks, that's no problem! Simply stop by the Credit Union lobby and we can print some counter checks for you. Checks can be purchased - eight for $2.00.

Cash Advances

If you have a Visa Credit Card, we can help you obtain a cash advance. There is a $10.00 fee if you are using a Visa Credit Card other than your CAMC FCU Visa Credit Card.
